Get Lit - Full Body Burn Workshop

Sunday 4th October, 2026

Inside Our First Get Lit Burn Workshop

We recently held our very first Burn Workshop at Toystunts HQ. With a growing number of graded stunt performers putting together their applications to become Stunt Actors, we thought it was time to help them complete the Fire category required for their grading.

With Stunt Coordinator Ben Toyer, and Assistant Stunt Coordinators Richard Cotta and Aidan Gillett running the event, we had 14 graded performers do 2 to 3 full body burns, along with assisting over 10 burns each as well!

We also included a partial burn category for ungraded stunt trainee's to come and experience what its like, with 5 students perfoming 3 burns each during the day!

Every student left the day with a grin ear to ear and wealth of knowledge about Fire Burns, the techniques and systems we put in place to make them safe, and the experience of being a part of over 50 fire burns in one day!

The video showcases what the day was a bout perfectly, shot edited by Tim Parsons, we hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Decell Fundamentals Workshop

Saturday 29th August, 2026

Inside Our First Decell Fundamentals Workshop

We recently held something we'd been looking forward to for a long time our very first rigging workshop. It was our debut event, and we're thrilled to say it went off — so we wanted to share how the day unfolded for anyone who couldn't make it.

Nineteen students joined us for the inaugural session, and getting everyone together in one room set exactly the tone we'd hoped for. There's a certain energy to a first-ever workshop — a mix of curiosity, fresh faces, and the shared sense that we were all figuring it out together. From the outset, participants dived in and got hands-on with the fundamentals.

What the day was about

The aim of the workshop was simple: to share practical, foundational skills that people can carry forward into whatever roles and jobs come their way. Rather than skills tied to a single project, these are the kinds of building blocks that travel with you across your career. Over the course of the day, participants worked through the essentials, asked questions, and took a 7m leap to test their skill.

Meeting the community

One of the highlights was the people. The room brought together participants from a range of backgrounds, including a few of us who hadn't crossed paths before. Those introductions and side conversations turned out to be as valuable as the material itself, and it was a genuine pleasure to see new connections form over the course of the day.

Well done to everyone who took part

A big well done to all nineteen participants. Turning up, staying curious, and committing to learning something new takes real effort — and everyone brought it. As our first cohort, they helped set the standard for every workshop that follows.

We've put together a short video that captures the highlights and wraps up the whole day. Check it out!
